Can I register in the Game more than once?
There is a limit of one (1) Game entry per person in the Game. Any person who registers or attempts to register more than one (1) entry in the Game will be in breach of the Game Rules and may be ineligible for a prize.
My children want to play the Game, can they register?
The Game is open to players aged 18 years or older and to qualify for prizes, players need to be aged 18 years or older on the first day of the Game.
I live outside Australia and would like to play the Game – is that possible?
International players can register and play the Game but prizes will be awarded only to players who live in Australia with an Australian bank account.
Can I change my player name?
Choose your player name carefully as you cannot change it. Your player name is what will show up in the Rankings and in Player search. Your name can only be changed by request to Game admin; you can do this via the Sharemarket Game contact page.
I have registered but I am not able to place trades.
You can only trade once the Game has started. Check the website for the Game dates.
The company I want to buy in the Game isn’t in the company list.
The Game features a selection of companies, however certain companies are excluded when their share price is less than $1 on the registration date or when they have potential corporate actions during the Game period that cannot be replicated in the Game environment.
How do I reset my password?
When you go to login via the ASX portal, you will see a 'forgot password' link, this is where you can reset your password.
Can a financial adviser or finance professional play the game
Any person who is engaged in a professional capacity in trading, advising on or managing financial products traded on a financial market may participate in the Game but will not be eligible for prizes.
Students frequently report not being able to login, often due to mistyping of user login details. Here are some steps for them to follow:
1.- Check your password and login details:
Make sure that the password is being entered correctly and that there are no extra spaces before or after your password.
Make sure that they are using the correct case – passwords are case sensitive.
Make sure that they are not accidentally typing in words or letters that look similar – for example the letter “el” instead of the number one. If in doubt – cut and paste the password it into the password field.
If students are being directed to an old game, please reset your preferences by taking the following steps:
Log out of the Game and the Investor Portal
Clear your caches
4.- Check their password

5.- Try using another device or computer
If you are able to login using another computer of device, please logout of all applications and close tabs. Then clear caches/cookies and login again.
