The LOGIN button is at the top right hand corner of every page. Enter your email address and password to log in. If you are accessing the portal for the first time, you may be asked to update your password and preferences.
Will I need to create a new account if I already have a MyASX account?
Prior to the new Investor Portal, you may have had a MyASX account. If this is the case, then you can log in to the new portal using the same email address you used for MyASX. You will then be asked to reset your password and select preferences when you log in for the first time.
How do I reset my password?
If you previously had a MyASX account, log in using your email address and you will automatically be asked to reset your password. This is important to ensure your personal information is correct and kept safe.
If you would like to reset your password at any time in the future, or you have forgotten your password, follow either of the two ways below to do so:
Before you login to your account, click on "Forget Password" and follow the instructions.
When you are inside your account, go to your Profile and change your password from there.
Eligible passwords must meet the following criteria:
8-64 characters long
Cannot be a commonly used word such as 'password', 'qwerty', 'welcome', password1'
Must not contain more than 3 consecutive identical characters
Must not contain more than 3 consecutive sequential characters
Must not contain the user name, given name or family name
Can I change my email address for login?
Your email address is used to uniquely identify your account. It is currently not possible to change email addresses. If you would like to use a different email address, it is recommended that you create a new account but please note you will have to create your watchlists again.
Do I need to select my preferences again?
You will be asked to select your preferences when you log into your account for the first time. This is your opportunity to subscribe to relevant thought leadership and events. You can update your preferences any time if your circumstances change in the future.
Why do I need a password and login to access the investor portal?
One of the key features of the investor portal is the ability for users to personalise their experience by setting up personal watchlists and signing up to receive updates and newsletters. To offer this we need to create a unique profile for each user. This requires an email address and a secure login.
With the new investor portal, we added some additional password requirements to ensure that our users’ information is safe and that we meet our obligations under our security and privacy policies.
Staying logged in
When logging in, you can also select to stay signed in, by ticking the “Keep me signed in” checkbox on the login tab. This enables you to visit the site easily and conveniently after the initial set-up.
You are also able to check certain information without logging in by visiting the markets section on our public website.
How do I create a new account?
To create a new account, click on the LOGIN button at the top right hand corner of the page and then click on the JOIN NOW button.
Watchlists can be created when you are logged in. From your personalised dashboard, click on the plus sign to create a new list.
Will my existing watchlists be migrated to the new investor portal?
The MyASX platform is no longer accessible. However, if you had an existing MyASX account, you are encouraged to log into the new portal and update your password and preferences. You should be able to see your watchlists. Existing watchlists will be migrated to the new portal, but there are a few exceptions to be aware of.
Blank watchlists (those without any codes) will not be migrated.
There is a maximum number of 10 watchlists with up to 50 codes per watchlist catered for in the new portal. If you had more than 10 watchlists, these will be migrated but you will be asked to reduce the number to 10. Once deleted, you will not be able to add any watchlists over your current 10.
What is the maximum number of watchlists I can have?
There is a maximum number of 10 watchlists catered for in the new portal. Once you have reached the limit, you will not be able to add more until you delete an existing one to accomodate for a new one.
Why do I keep getting an error message when I try to add another watchlist?
Most likely it is because you have reached your maximum number of 10 watchlists. Please consolidate or amend your current watchlists if you would like to add more.
Why does the bell still stay there for notifications when I have already read them?
You will receive a notification via the 'bell counter' at the top right hand corner of the page whenever there is a Price Sensitive announcement for any codes in your watchlists. The number of notifications appearing on the counter is the total number of announcements for the last seven days. This number will remain for seven days even if you have already viewed the announcement. It will be updated once the week has passed.
Can I add holdings to my watchlist and track estimated value?
You can now add holdings to your watchlist and you can also add more security types to your portfolio including options, warrants, bonds and hybrids. If you had an a MyASX account on the old platform, you can download your old watchlist data as a CSV file once you log into the new Investor Portal. Simply click the button and save it to your device, so that you can enter your holdings into your portfolio.
How do I download my watchlists?

This will be available to help you manage the transition from your old MyASX holdings to the new site, even after the old site is no longer available in October.
How can I see which companies in my watchlist have announcements today?
This functionality is readily available and can be accessed in two ways.
To view announcements in your watchlist, log in to your account and click on the Announcements tab in the Overview section.
Announcements are always available on the cash market prices page. Ensure you are logged in so that you can get a personalise view of announcements on your watchlist.
About the investor portal - Exceptions
Why can't I see my portfolio or units and values?
We have taken on board customer feedback and early in October, we will be releasing the ability to add holdings to your watchlist and track the estimated value over time.
Alternatively, fully featured virtual portfolios are offered for free by many brokers. Please contact your broker if you would like to better understand the services they provide, alternatively, you can source a broker using the Find a Broker Page.
Why can't I add certain asset classes?
New watchlists are limited to equities and ETPs. Existing watchlists with asset classes other than equities and ETPs will be migrated from your MyASX account. As part of continous improvement and customer testing, we will add additional asset classes in the future.
How do I download my watchlists from MyASX?
Log in to your existing MyASX account and go to your Watchlists. Click 'Download my watchlists (csv)' to download your watchlist in a .csv file.
Can I download my old watchlists in the new Investor Portal?
If you have a watchlist in the current MyASX you will now be able to download any existing watchlists data as a CSV file from the new Investor Portal. Simply click the button and save it to your device. This will be available to help you manage the transition from your old MyASX holdings to the new site, even after the old site is no longer available in October.
Why can’t I see any data for the mFunds in my watchlists?
With the upgrades to the new investor portal you can monitor your watchlists easily and efficiently using any device including mobiles and tablets. The download functionality has been removed as most users no longer use this and are using screen capture to keep copies of their watchlists.

The search functionality has been upgraded and you will be able to do searches that will deliver more detailed search results. You will also be able to use a number of filter to refine your searches when looking for company information and announcements.
Will the website address change?
The website address may look slightly different for a period as we transition over to our new platform and you may notice that the address for the new site appears as www2.asx.com.au
Where can I find my watchlists on the new site?

Once logged in, your personalised dashboard will display an overview of the companies you are tracking. If you don't have an account and want to create one, simply click on the LOGIN button and click JOIN NOW at the bottom of the pop up window.
Will my bookmarks still work?
Whilst pages on the former website have been set up to automatically redirect to an equivalent page on the new website, it is recommended that you bookmark the new page so you can easily find what you need.
Where can I find prices on the new site?
Cash market prices can be found in the 'Trade our cash market' section under the 'Markets' tab in the top navigation menu. You will also be able to search for companies in this section by clicking on 'Company directory' or via the Search functionality.

How do I conduct a company search?
There are a number of ways to search for a company. The fastest way is to use the Search functionality at the top of every page.
Another option is to navigate to the 'Company directory' page via the 'Markets' tab in the top navigation menu.
Your feedback is important to us and you can share your comments by completing the feedback tab that will appear on the right hand side of the website screen. From time to time, you may also be prompted to provide a rating of the website when you exit the site.
Where can I find the day's price sensitive announcements?
The day's price sensitive announcements can be found in the Markets section or filtered via the Announcements page.
Why can I only see a percentage change in the Top 5 pricing lists?
At this stage, the pricing lists only show percentage changes. However, ASX is continually enhancing and improving the website based on customer feedback. If you have any feedback regarding the pricing list, please provide your comments via the feedback pop up.
Where can I find pricing for indices constituents?
At this stage, pricing for indices constituents is not a feature on the new website. However, ASX is continually enhancing and improving the website based on customer feedback. If you have any feedback regarding indices pricing, please provide your comments via the feedback pop up.
Where can I find the dividend history per security?
Dividends for multiple securities is now served via the dedicated listing page. To view the past five dividends of a security, use the Search functionality and enter any security.
Where can I find pricing for multiple securities?
Pricing for multiple securities is now served via the watchlist. Login or join now to create a watchlist. You can create up to 10 watchlists with 50 codes per watchlist.
Is there a commercial motive behind the new website?
There is no commercial revenue model associated to the website. In fact, revenue previously generated from the site via advertising has been removed, so the ASX website remains independent and free to the market.
The upgrade has removed 18 years of legacy cookie tracking and third party advertising.
The ASX website is an independent channel for market news and insights.
Is there now a fee to access market announcements in real time?
No. Market announcements will continue to be provided real-time and for free.
Is there a fee to access historical announcements?
There is no commercial model for historical announcements. However, due to reconstructions and code changes, these will take time to be built into the searchable history.
ASX plans to add 10 years of history over the coming weeks, and are already looking at ways to improve the view by day – versus the 25 per page view – which was put in place to help manage load at launch.
Does the ASX now require the provision of an email address or other data to gain access to information?
ASX has significantly reduced the amount of data we collect and have increased the controls individual users have over their data.
We are incredibly strong on the use of customer data being limited only to the purposes for which is allowed.
Further, the upgrade has removed 18 years of legacy cookie tracking and third party advertising.
Did ASX build the new website in consultation with users?
The new website has been in beta for over a year with 300,000 users of the site over that period.
The new company pages were designed in coordination with listed companies through collaborative design sessions.
The recent product update emails have been sent to 254,000 investors, which included enhancements we have added in response to customer feedback.
This is the first significant change since 2005, and involves a complete re-platform to a modern, scalable and resilient technology platform. We know it will take some getting used to and we will be using the feedback to continuously improve and enhance the site over time.
